My grandma always told me, “PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE, JULIE.”

But let’s be real: we live in an instant gratification society. We want what we want, and we want it NOW. And sometimes when we’re in pain, we want a way to help relieve the pain immediately.

Along with doing the big-picture work to lay the foundation of developing a healthy relationship with food and our bodies, these are two things I practice regularly when I find myself wrapped up in obsessing over food, or feeling down about my body.
