WAAAAY Out of my Comfort Zone

Hey babes!

I was a tad MIA from the blog last week.. mainly because I've been doing a lot of personal journaling, soul searching, reflecting and planning.

I have a few exciting projects in the works and I wanted to keep you updated as they all make their way into the world, and hopefully inspire you to take action on the things you've always WANTED to do, but have been making allllll the excuses for.

Podcast

I am OBSESSED with podcasts. I listen to them on my walks, when I'm driving, when I'm cooking, cleaning -- pretty much anytime I have some down time. I don't watch much TV, so this is my way of staying in touch with the world.

I love how casual podcasts are, too. When it comes to making videos, I always felt the need to get dolled up, edit the video in a super cool way -- and if I'm being honest, that prevents me from making videos as often.

I decided to create a podcast so I could share ALL things nutrition, fitness, health, wellness, spirituality, business, relationships with you guys. My plan is to do probably 60% solo episodes and 40% interview-style episodes.

I have a few interviews lined up, and I've already recorded 3 solo sessions! I can't wait to share them with you when I suss out all the details and make them live. Stay tuned :)

Book

THIS IS MY BIGGEST DREAM IN THE WORLD.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved writing. I always had the highest grades in my English and writing classes; and I even had a full-time job as a content writer at an advertising agency after graduating from college.

In the past few years, I've *somewhat* kept up with this blog, I journal like mad, I write freelance articles for publications, and I just can't seem to get enough of it. My life revolves around writing... so I figured, what better time to bring that book I've been dying to write into the world than now?

I honestly believe you'll never feel ready for the things that are most important to you in life. (I've heard this is especially true when it comes to having kids... but it can apply to writing books, too! ha)

My plan is to spend an hour writing the book every morning, Monday - Friday.

If you have a big goal like writing a book -- don't let yourself off the hook by making the excuse, "Well, I don't have the time to do that. I'd have to lock myself in solitary confinement at the top of a mountain for months like all the best authors in the world!" (That's what I thought to myself, anyway)...

Instead, take action NOW. What better time than the present? Set that large goal, break it down into chunks, and GSD.

I'll keep you updated on the process. :)

Dance

I guess I should've titled this blog post "stepping way out of my comfort zone and doing all the things that scare the Bejesus out of me all at once."

I'm planning to audition for a dance company next weekend in Toronto. (EEEK!)

When I moved here, I was searching for adult dance classes so I could get back into my dancing groove, since it's something that's a very positive outlet for me to channel my energy into. And let's be real, I need some friends. LOL.

I found an amazing studio, then followed an aaaamazing instructor there on IG, and noticed she was having dance company auditions for performances around the town so I figured, 'WHY DA HECK NOT?'

Again, what better time than now to do all the things that scare me?

---

The main point of me writing this was 1. for accountability to actually show up and do these things 2. put it out into the Universe so the big man upstairs knows I'm serious 3. to inspire you to take action on the things you've always wanted to do but 'haven't had time for, can't do right now, whatever excuse you're making up.'

If you want to do something, MAKE A PLAN. Get out there and do it.

Life is too short to live a stale, boring life where you live well within the confines of your comfort zone.

BUST OUT OF THERE GIRL AND GO #GSD.

CHALLENGE: What's ONE THING you've always wanted to do but haven't? Tell me in the comments below and make a plan to get it done.
