My Main Goal Right Now

Hey my gorgeous,

How's your week going so far?

2018 is near, and you're probably thinking about all the goals and resolutions you want to set for yourself.

Don't worry - I have a few things up my sleeve so that you feel prepared & ready to enter 2018 with success, determination and love. Stay tuned for videos, podcasts and articles about planning, setting goals and more!

But today I wanted to share with you one of my main goals right now, and it's probably NOT what you think.

While I do have goals in the gym, in my business, in my relationships, in my personal development - the normal things people set goals for... this one actually has to do with myself.

My main goal is to get better at being myself.

100% authentically, unapologetically me. Goofy, weird, passionate, creative: all the things that make up who I truly am at my core.

I don't know if you saw my Instagram post yesterday, but it talks allll about this. I'll insert it here because it's a goodie.

Don't wait for someone to give you permission to do what you really want to do or be who you really are.

For so long, I sought reassurance from people around me - good grades? Acceptance. New career? Praise.

I liiiiiiived for the feeling of a "good job" from others because that meant I was "good enough."

But what I've realized is that people will have their opinions about you no matter what you do. You could drive the nicest car, have the most prestigious job title, donate a million buckerooskis to charity, and there will STILL be someone out there who thinks your stanks.

Moral of the story (and I'm learning this more and more every day): BE WHO YOU TRULY ARE, deep down in your core. Be that goofy, silly, fun-loving you that you are with your friends and family... ALL THE MUFUGGIN TIME YO.

The right people will be attracted to your energy.... and the rest? They don't have to live your life, only YOU do. So you better make sure it's a life you enjoy living!

So what does this actually look like in my day-to-day life?

It means not second guessing whether or not to post something on my Instagram for fear of it 'not being liked.'

It means continuing down the path of helping women and men become the strongest version of themselves - not just through fitness; but through personal development, habits, intentions, goal setting, and things that have had the most impact on my life.

It means sharing content that I find truly valuable.

It means showing up for you guys - on Facebook Lives, Instagram stories/posts, through these newsletters, in my [free] Strong & Sexy Living Global Community - Facebook group, YouTube, all the ways I show up - as 10000% authentically my weird, funny, goofy (sometimes #passionranting) self.

It means making choices that feel good in MY body - because it's my life and I'm the only one who has to live with the consequences of my choices.

It means working out in a way I love and when I love - not when or how others say I "should."

It means eating in a way that nourishes my body and makes me feel amazing, not based on some "diet" or "trend."

Are you being 100% you? Or are you showing the world a perfectly crafted, tailored version of you?

Because it gets boring to fit into a mold - trust me, I tried to do it for YEARS. And you never really win, anyway, because as I said above... there will always be someone out there who doesn't like you.

But they don't have to wake up as you. They don't have to live a day in your shoes.

Only YOU do.

What kind of person do you want to be?

How are you showing up in the world?

Let a little bit more of your true, authentic self shine today.

The world needs more of YOU, not more copycats or clones of others.

You are special. You are unique. You are the only one with the special formula of gifts and talents you possess.

And it's selfish of you to not share that openly, genuinely and authentically with others ;)

The world is waiting for you.

LOVE YA, you beautiful unicorn, you!
